Resumption of protests at the Polish-Ukrainian border

Polish farmers' protests will resume tomorrow. The Podkarpacka Oszukana Wieś Association, which is responsible for starting the action, plans to block the passage of lorries (except military and those carrying humanitarian aid) near the border crossing with Ukraine, in Medyka.

The protest is intended to draw the attention of those in power to their failure to honour their commitments, their withdrawal from the spring agreement on agricultural tax write-offs, the ineffectively regulated influx of food from across the eastern border, and the reduction of ecoschemes.

According to reports, the farmers may continue their protests even until the end of 2024. It is worth noting that they do not plan to disrupt car and bus traffic in the process.
